History of shivling

The month of spring is about to begin. Which is very dear to Lord Bhole Nath. We all worship Lord Shiva in the special month of Sawan. Due to which Lord Shiva is quickly please. Lord Shiva is the only deity who is worship in linga form. Shivling is the formless form of Lord Shiva.

Among the three gods Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh, only Lord Shiva (Mahesh) is call by many names. Such as Neelkanth, Shankar, Gangadhar, Ashutosh and Mahakal are also call. Which is the era of kalos, with whose blessings all wishes are fulfill, and life is auspicious.

Importance of Shivling

Shivling is the unfathomable form of Lord Shiva. Shivling is a single form of Lord Shiva and Shakti, which is a symbol of equality of man and nature. Both men and women are complementary to each other. The creation of the universe is also composed of matter and energy. The body is made up of matter and spirit energy.

Just as the entire universe has no additions nor infinite, similarly Lord Shiva also has no additions and infinite, only formless form. In which in the Holocaust, all the universe disappears and is born from Shiva lingam in the re-creation, when there was nothing, Lord Shiva was there and even when nothing will happen, Lord Shiva will remain, Lord Shiva is void, sky, universe and It is consider a symbol of the Supreme Person.

According to Linga Mahapuran, at the time of creation, there will be a dispute regarding the superiority of Lord Vishnu and Brahma. When this dispute turned into a war, a fierce battle ensued between the two, seeing that a flame of fire engulfed it. The lingam appeared from which the sound of ॐ was coming out. Seeing this, both the gods decided to know about its beginning and end.

And where the first who will find the source of this linga is consider to be the best, Lord Vishnu went to the Himalayas and Brahma ji went upstairs, thousands of years passed while searching for the two deities about the lingam but no one about the lingam I could not find any source. Then Brahma Ji came to the lot and said that I have found the source of Lingam.

Then Lord Shiva appeared from the lingam, and was angry at Brahma ji and cursed that you have told lies. From now on, you will never be worship anywhere on earth. Lord Vishnu looked at Bhole Nath in anger and started praising him, then God pleased and blessed both the gods that you may get the truth, then both the gods worshiped that linga. Since then Lord Shiva is worship as Shivling.

Types of Shivling:

You all know that Lord Shiva is a bhole bhandari who gets easily please with his devotees. By worship Shivling (which is his formless form) to please Lord Shiva, Bholenath fulfills all desires. Lord Shiva is very fond of cold things that cool them.

Because at the time of churning the sea, the poison was release. It was very hot which was taken by Lord Shiva which increase the effect of heat in his body.All the gods flowed a stream of water on Lord Shiva, which brought him coolness. Since then Lord Shiva is anointed with cold things on the Shivling. The person doing the consecration gets all the comforts.

There are many types of Shivling :

1. Soil shivling – Mixing the right ingredients, milk, Ganga water, curd and honey in the soil, making Shivling is do and worship it properly and eliminates the fear of poisonous beings.
2. Flowers made shivling – If worship of flowers is give the shape of Shivling, land and buildings are obtain.
3. Wheat and rice made shivling – Anointing of Shivling made of wheat and rice flour makes children happy.
4. Pearl shivling– The pearl is consider very shiny and worship Shivling also made of pearl brings blessings of Good luck.
5. Gold Shivling – Worship Shivling made of gold gives wealth and happiness.
6. Silver Shivling– Shivling resides in the homes of most people, whose ancestors are liberate by worship.
7. Shivling of Narmada River – Positive energy is generate by worship the Narmadeshwar Shivling and keeping it in the house.
8. Copper Shivling – The consecration of Shivling made of copper gives longevity.
9. Shivling made from fruits – By worship Shivling made from fruits, fruits are also plant in the garden.
10. Garlic Shivling – Worship the Shivling made of garlic destroys enemies.
11. Shivling of Sugar candy- Worshiping of Shiva lingam made from sugar candy gives relief from diseases.
12. Shivling made of Bhasma- Those people who have to prove tantra-mantra are worship by Bhasma made Shivling.

16. Shivling of Gooseberry– Worship the Shivling of Gooseberry attains salvation.
17. Parad Shivling – According to the Puranas, Lord Shiva himself told Mata Parvati that whatever worshiper would worship this Parad Shivling. My blessings will always be on him. He will get relief from all the miseries like premature death, sickness, poverty and his honor, fame, wealth and opulence will increase. And in the end he will enjoy all the pleasures and will get salvation.
